Introduction:

While configuring Data Services Monitoring object in Job Monitoring Object, sometimes users get Remote OS parameter exception due to which user will not be able to configure the Monitoring Object.

This blog provides steps to resolve the remote OS parameter exception and configure the Data Services Monitoring Object successfully.

Example: Username is not supplied or blank. Check the parameters assigned to remote OS service in the SMD agent manager. Parameter: ENV_SID_XXXXX_BOE_CME_USR is either blank or not supplied.

As shown below.

Kindly follow the below steps to resolve the error.

  1. Go to Managed Systems Configuration.

2. Open the full configuration Incl. Service Delivery/EWA ( Current Mode)

     3. Go to Step 3: Assign Diagnostics Agent and check whether Agent Status is green.

If not please reboot the agent.

4.Select the Agent and Click on ‘Agent Admin’.

Select the remoteos application and select the agent.

5.Click on Edit and add the missing parameter: ENV_SID_MOF_BOE_CMS_USR, value and save.

6.Reboot Agent from Solution Manager.

7.After reboot, please refresh and wait for Agent status to turn Green as highlighted below.

8.After Agent turns to Green Status, then Configure the Monitoring Object.

Now user will be able to successfully configure the Data Service Monitoring Object.
