Ahead of Christmas we have some presents for you 😊 We have developed two eLearning courses on SAP Product Footprint Management that are now available on the SAP Learning Hub:

SAP Product Footprint Management: Calculating and Monitoring (PFM01e_EN_Col21)

SAP Product Footprint Management: Configuration (PFM02_EN_Col21)

(Please note that you must be logged in to the SAP Learning Hub with an active session prior to accessing the links)

With your existing Learning Hub subscription, you can now access both trainings and start your SAP Product Footprint Management learning journey. The courses consist of different units which are supplemented by exercises, simulations, and assessments. You should plan approximately 2,5 hours to complete both courses. In the following I will give you a brief overview on the content and what you can expect.

PFM01e: Calculating and Monitoring

This first eLearning targets business users, using the SAP Product Footprint Management application in their daily jobs for calculating and monitoring product footprints. The learning starts with an overview of the product, its capabilities and business architecture. The next unit explains in detail how you can use the Calculate Footprint app to define the scope of your calculation within the calculation template. You will further learn how the application then calculates the product footprints and how you can use the Monitor Footprints app to view the calculation results as well as business logs and business messages. Finally, it is explained how you can publish the footprints into SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

PFM02e: Configuration

The second eLearning course focuses on the IT application expert who configures SAP Product Footprint Management and sets up the connection to the existing business system. This learning also starts with an overview on the product and in the second unit goes into the details of the system setup. You will learn how to set up role templates and authorizations and how to connect SAP Product Footprint Management to your SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud system. The third unit covers the Emission Factors Management and explains how emission factors from own lifecycle assessments or external providers can be imported into the solution.

Test & Demo License

Another big news I would like to share is that as of now the test & demo license for SAP Product Footprint Management is available for our partners and customers. With this license you can connect your existing SAP system to SAP Product Footprint Management and start calculating product footprints, thus enabling proof of concepts and demo scenarios. Please reach out to your SAP account team to receive all details. An additional blog post with further information will be published here in the SAP Community in the next days, so stay tuned.
