The Transition Roadmap “SAP S/4HANA Upgrade and Product Integration” has been updated to the new SAP S/4HANA 2021 release.

What’s New

The new version of the transition road map “SAP S/4HANA Upgrade and Product Integration” has been enhanced with new tasks: We now cover the SAP Business Technology Platform and its importance for making and keeping the core clean and introduce services for SAP BTP, SAP Extension Suite and SAP Integration Suite in the Discover phase in the Strategic Planning activity.

Later in the Realize phase we discuss the options to develop extensions following the clean core strategy and list available services (in the activity Product Enhancements).

Additional new important tasks cover the option to combine the upgrade of SAP S/4HANA with an analysis of your current business processes and identification of innovation potential with SAP Signavio and SAP Process Insights. You will find service descriptions and links to the SAP Signavio documentation and white paper collection in the new task “Use SAP Signavio and SAP Process Insights” in the activity Application Value and Scoping.

This is the new services structure of Value Assurance services mapped to the SAP S/4HANA Upgrade road map:

Updates

The SAP Readiness Check for SAP S/4HANA upgrades has been enriched with new functionality like a Compatibility Scope Analysis which we describe in the activity Application Value and Scoping.

As always, the road map content has been updated and does now include the latest version of all accelerators. You can access the road map SAP S/4HANA Upgrade and Product Integration directly or from the SAP Roadmap Viewer landing page -> Upgrade Methodology.

As always, we look forward to receiving your feedback!
