In onw of my last projects I was reminded to some installations may still out there.

The Internet Sales Solution, aka xECO, which need a Netweaver Developer Infrastructure and Workplace.

In the Project, I describe here, the customer had one Netweaver Workplace with Developer Studio still running on Windows 2008 and Netweaver 7.40 SPS08 (SR2).

The first recommendation to upgrade to from 740 and xECO 733 to Netweaver 750 and xECO 734 was declined by the customer as he don´t want to touch the existing landscape.

But this is the strong recommendation from my side as Netweaver 740 is out of Maintenance since 31.12.2020.

Anyhow here I will describe what you need to do the homogenous systemcopy to Windows 2019 with the Netweaver 740 SR2 Java.

Is this supported?

For sure as we find in the PAM:

PAM MaxDB Win2019

Next Step is to identify all DVDs, Kernel- and DB Tools, a working SWPM and all other Tools and Software we need.

First we need a SWPM which support the outdated Software.

For this we have a look into Note 1680045. There we find a info to call Note 2900160

At least there we find the relevant Information that SWPM 1.0 SP30 is the last one support the outdated Software versions. Anyhow, the only one I found was SP26 and SP33, so I used SP26.

For anyone interested in, you need DVD 51053873_15 for Windows.

Simple search for SWPM10 in Downloads to find other Operating Systems.

Also the following Software is needed:

Kernel for target DB Independent

Kernel for target DB Part

SAP JVM 6.1

SAPHostAgent

Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package for x86 and x64

JAVA DVDs (51050819 and 51050882_15 for 740SR2)

MaxDB 7.9 SP10 Build5

With this you can do the copy as described in the Systemcopy Guide.
