Attach File Evidences in Data Collections and Non Conformances – SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud
In this blog post, I would like to show how you can attach file evidences when capturing Data Collection or raising Non Conformances against an SFC within SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud, which is a very frequent requirement during Quality Inspection operations, for example.
Sometimes, Workers needs to capture a Data Collection or raise a Non Conformance against an SFC during the quality inspection process, and attaching a file as an evidence of the fact is a requirement. SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud supports file attachments during Data Collection and Non Conformances out of the box.
See below how:
Attach Files to Data Collection Parameters
In POD Designer, open the POD you want to add File Attachment feature, select Data Collection plugin, click Show the Configuration Panel blue icon on the menu bar, find List Name Configuration option and click Browse button.
In the List popup, click Details icon for the List in use.
Move Attachments Column from left (Available Columns) to right (Assigned Columns) and click Save.
From now on, any POD using the List you changed (in this case, DEFAULT_DATA_ENTRY), in Data Collection plugin, will have a new Attachments column displayed and an Attachment icon on every row, for each Data Collection Parameter of each Data Collection Group.
Attachments can be visualized later on in Product History Report (PHR) app, on Data Collection tab for that SFC.
* The file name must be up to 128 characters and the file size must not exceed 25 MB.
See more about it here: Data Collections.
From now on, Nonconformance Data Entry plugin on that specific POD will show Attachments option.
Which will also show later on in Product History Report (PHR) app, on Nonconformance tab, for that SFC.
* The file name must be up to 128 characters and the file size must not exceed 25 MB.
See more about it here: Nonconformance Data Entry
In this blog post, you learned how to attach file evidences to Data Collection Parameters or Non Conformances, during the production process, against an SFC within SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud, which is a very common requirement.
In order to do that, you added Attachments Column at Data Collection plugin List or switched on Enable Attachments option in Nonconformance Data Entry plugin in POD Designer.
You also learned that Attachments can be later on visualized in Product History Report (PHR) app.
