First I would like to introduce myself - I am Idit Saguey, an SAP Business One product expert, part of the Partner Solution Center group in NA. In the past 20 plus years I have been working with SAP Business One partners to get them educated, trained and supported on the product. SAP Business One is SAP's solution for SME looking to go digital and grow their business. It serves as a the platform ERP, which you can build on, and connect other products and solutions.
One of them is the Document Information Exaction, also referred to as DOX.
Starting version 10 FP 2102 the Document Information Extraction service for SAP Business One was introduced. This allows our customers to scan an unstructured Invoice from their vendors, process it through the service, and bring it as a structured A/P invoice draft into the SAP Business One.
In SAP Business One, you have all the necessary screens and UI to setup the connection to the service, and import the documents.
The service, Document Information Extraction. is just one of many services provided by the SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP) that SME partners can use to expand the solution, whether SAP Business One is deployed on premise or in the cloud.
As a partner, you can purchase the services, develop your IP using SAP BTP and connect to the back-end ERP, which in this case is SAP Business One.
