As we’ve all experienced firsthand, life changed dramatically when COVID-19 shut down the world. For example, many working parents became homeschool teachers overnight.  They wondered, “How am I going to juggle homeschooling my child along with the responsibilities of being a parent, spouse and business professional?”

Maintaining a healthy work/life balance is critical to employee health and wellbeing. With finite time and a to-do list a mile long, many working parents quickly learned that they were going to have to become extremely efficient at work and at home to fulfill all their responsibilities. To help employees thrive in this new world of work, employers made employee experience a top priority.  Organizations focused on creating compelling employee experiences designed to support employee wellbeing so that employees could bring their best selves to work. By giving employees the tools to work smarter and more efficiently, along with the flexibility to work when and where they want, employees felt supported and connected to the business and were better able to manage the increased demands at work and at home.

At SAP SuccessFactors, we are dedicated to delivering phenomenal experiences by putting people at the center of everything we do, so that employees can be their best and businesses can run at their best.  With the SAP SuccessFactors 2H 2021 release, we continue to deliver on our strategy with new capabilities in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits that will increase operational efficiency and improve the employee experience.  Let’s take a look at what’s new in Employee Central Global Benefits with the 2H 2021 release.

Easily report and manage qualifying life events in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Global Benefits

With this release, we’ve further streamlined benefits administration and improved the employee experience with life event automation. A new self-service UI enables employees to report qualifying life events, such as marriage or childbirth, and submit supporting documentation. Upon approval, a workflow is automatically initiated to create, update, end enrollments or open a benefits exception window, allowing the employee to enroll or edit eligible benefits. This improves the efficiency and speed of processing qualifying life events, freeing up HR resources to focus on more strategic tasks.
