[ How-To ] Moving Communication Channels from SAP Process Orchestration To SAP Integration Suite

SAP Integration Suite is the future-proof and strategic integration platform from SAP with a long term roadmap. This is the recommended solution from a product strategy perspective.To help developers/customers working on migrating integration scenarios from SAP Process Orchestration to SAP Integration Suite, we will be starting off with series comprising of multiple technical how-to guides.

Scenario:

In the below blog post we will see how to move communication channels from SAP Process Orchestration to SAP Integration Suite considering reusability factor.

Altough Communication Channel is not an independant artifact from SAP Integration Suite side we have captured above approach to give more flexibility from migration side.Some of the reusable content ( Postman Collection and FTP Adapter parameters ) are shared through belog github.

How to get adapter metadata:

There are multiple ways you can get Adapter metadata from SAP Process Orchestration and below are the few.

Directory API:

Using Integration Directory API of SAP Process Orchestration its possible to get Communication Channel details easility into readble format.Refer the below blog to know how to achieve the same.

Enterprise Service Respository:

We can get the adapter metadata by navigating to namespace “http://sap.com/xi/XI/System” of Software Component Version “SAP BASIS 7.50
