Release Highlights

Data Discovery

Launch Data Analyzer via a table visualization in Story

Users can now conduct deep-dive data analysis more easily than ever as Data Analyzer can now be launched via a Table in a Story. With Data Analyzer, users can perform adhoc analysis and save insights quickly.

Note that the table state (such as filters, variables, and current drill-down actions) from story should appear the same when opened in Data Analyzer.  Click here to learn more about possible limitations and considerations with this feature.

Dashboard and Story Design

Data Visualization

Optimized View Mode Incremental Update

Optimized View Mode provides several usability improvements when viewing, exploring, and interacting with stories. It also provides performance improvements depending on the dashboard characteristics and executed workflows.

Once a story is resaved, Optimized View Mode now supports the ability to Edit and Create Bookmarks, as well as Measure Based Calculation Dimension with Story / Page Filters.

Support Pasting Empty Cells to Booked Data Cells

SAP Analytics Cloud now supports pasting empty, unbooked, and references to unbooked cells – from a table or external spreadsheet – to booked cells to delete values. Users can now experience simplified workflows when working with data from external spreadsheets as they no longer have to manually delete data when pasting from another source.

Mobile Analytics

SAC iOS mobile app now supports iOS 15 and iPadOS 15

With iOS 15 and iPad iOS 15 scheduled to release on September 20th, SAP Analytics Cloud customers will be happy to hear that the SAC mobile app has been certified to work on both operating systems.

Analytics Platform Services

Uncheck email recipients and disable sharing to “All Users”

SAP Analytics Cloud users now yield more control over how they share content in their workspace. When sharing content with other users, the “Email new recipients” check box is now unchecked by default, making it an explicit decision to send an email. Admin users have further control over how content is shared as they can now disable sharing to “All Users” to prevent unchecked mass sharing.

      Hi,

Thanks for updates. I'm trying to access links to Optimized View mode resources which you shared, but it looks that those links are SAP internal docs.

Is it possible to share those docs to SAP customers?

      Best Regards,

      Pawel
