The new SAP Fiori app ‘Maintain Time-Dependent Stock Levels’ enables you to display, create, and update time-dependent stock levels for the safety stock you would like to hold for specific materials. You can use dynamic stock levels for different dates in the future for supply or demand planning via API or manual maintenance, creating full flexibility in the area of material requirements planning (MRP) for stock levels. Defining safety stock levels based on validity intervals lets you react to varying demands dynamically and immediately reduce the risk of shortfalls by ensuring a sufficient stocking of products at all times.

In the field of Supply Chain Management, we deliver enhancements for various SAP Fiori apps to support split valuations in the goods-receipt process. You can select a valuation type based on the configuration settings, show the assigned valuation type for the split valuated material, and create your own global valuation types. Here we offer an easy configuration of split valuation in two steps with the help of SSCUIs.

With enhanced service order planning based on spare part reservation, we enable the logistics integration for customer service managers to achieve better insights into stock spare part availability and to ensure the reservation of the planned quantities. When a service order is released, the planned spare parts are reserved, leading to a tighter integration with follow-up logistical processes and a higher accuracy of service order planning. In case of stock shortage, the follow-up replenishment processes can be started immediately to ensure on-time service delivery.

Embedded analytics and best-in-class contract and lease management solutions enable intelligent leasing decisions. With the unified dashboard for managing compliance processes and the communication status update of electronic documents in SAP Document and Reporting Compliance, we offer a holistic solution to fulfill all types of mandates from real-time electronic business documents to statutory reports. Here, we enable a seamless transition to continuous transaction controls in a centralized global cockpit to help you analyze electronic business documents in real-time and to follow up on rejections. The centralization of all mandates within one end-to-end compliance process is a key prerequisite to facilitate reconciliation and guarantee consistency between real-time business document submissions and statutory reports. The dashboard further enhanced in SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2111 is the first steppingstone to enable seamless corrections and transition from real-time electronic documents to statutory reports.

In Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management, we ship resource demand with direct staffing in the ‘Manage Project Demand’ application. In addition to the integration between enterprise projects and procurement allowing you to plan, trigger, and monitor the procurement of materials and service, in SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2111 we enabled the planning and monitoring of human resource demands in the ‘Manage Project Demand’ application. Not only can this planning be done on a high-level based on an activity type and planned effort, but it can also be done in a more fine-granular way by directly staffing resources to that demand. In addition, in the ‘Manage My Timesheet’ application a task is provided in the prefilled task list for the assigned resources. You can directly compare planned-versus-actual work that has been entered using an activity time and provide a prefilled task list based on resource demand. With this we increase project planning possibilities and provide additional value to business users for their daily work.

With the enablement of contract type usage-based billing in Project Billing, you can prepare project billing requests and billing document requests for billing elements in the ‘Manage Project Billing’ app. Additionally, in the ‘Schedule Project Billing Preparation’ app, it is now possible to schedule the preparation of billing documents requests for billing elements of contract type usage-based billing. This gives you the opportunity to monitor and prepare billing, fully or partially postpone one or more usage-based items to the next bill, and write off a partial or the entire amount to be billed for more items.

In Sales, we increase flexibility through the enablement of the logistical follow-up activity ‘send back to customer’ in the SAP Fiori app ‘Manage Customer Returns’ which allows you to easily return order items while automatically determining no refund for the items and creating an outbound delivery. Predefined process variants and steps in the customer return process reduce time as well as manual adjustments.

With this release, we embedded Product Carbon Footprint in Procurement to offer simple access to product footprint data through insights periodically sent from the SAP Product Footprint Management application on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP). You can directly connect to Product Footprint Management by simply clicking on the material name and on the ‘View Product Footprints’ link in Purchase Order Items. Additionally, you have the option to open the ‘material value help’ to see details when creating a purchase requisition. Here, two additional columns have been added to show the amount of CO2 equivalent and unit of measure of the product footprint to help companies to take more sustainable decisions.

Looking to Solution Order Management in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2111 release, we bring an improved scope of the sales order integration and introduce new sales item types for third party sales. This new enhancement provides greater flexibility to sell goods via third parties as part of a solution order. The integration introduces three scope items for third party sales processes to solution orders. Scope Items BD3 and BDK support the sale of goods from a third party with and without shipping notification respectively, whereas scope item BDN supports processes in which non-stock items are procured from a third party. Solution Order Progress has also been updated to visualize the new third party sales functionality.

The integration of maintenance orders with Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management offers an increased visibility of overall spend for a project’s budget including the costs of maintenance orders. You can choose to include orders when you view the project hierarchy in the overview page in the ‘Project Cost Report’ application. Here, the orders are automatically displayed with the corresponding costs. This offers an effective and proactive cost control to ensure a project stay in the approved budget.

With SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2111, we deliver a new SAP Fiori app for the Global Harmonized System (GHS) classification. For bulk chemical compliance information, you can now apply the Worldwide Global Harmonized System (GHS) classification and the European Union GHS classification to unpackaged products and raw materials. The app includes information fields for hazard class, category, and statements as well as route of exposure and target organs. This new app eases the process of adding classifications for hazard class or category. You can define that a substance or mixture is not hazardous, release the assessments used in follow-on processes, and create new versions as well as adapt GHS data to change the assessment.

In Environment, Health, and Safety, we facilitate the management of environmental summary reports through the new ‘Manage Environmental Reports’ SAP Fiori app. With this release, you can create environmental reports and get a summary of the available environmental data in the system. The app provides a framework for creating summary reports that can serve as guidance on how to create environmental summary reports. You can use the reports to fulfil legal and internal reporting requirements. In addition to reports containing current environmental data, you can also make up a snapshot of projected environmental data based on the setup of compliance activities for a future period. The app provides an example template for managing greenhouse gas reports.

Here we ship a seamless integration of transactional steps like the creation of solution orders and subsequent sales order integration between subsidiary and headquarters. Resellers and retailers can use this process to help customers procure the material as well as work such as service providers during the installation or training.

A crucial step to success is adapting to our ever-changing environment. Therefore, we keep adapting our SAP Activate Methodology to best meet your current business needs. In this release, we have added a new tag for Professional Services companies that filters the methodology down to the essential tasks and accelerators needed during the implementation in this industry. We have also added new assets for fit-to-standard and updated business driven questionnaires to support this industry even better.

SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation
Additionally, we continuously invest in our products’ intelligence and automation with SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation. With the SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2105 release, we have already introduced our new bot environment, SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation 2.0. In addition to releasing brand-new bots monthly, we convert already existing bots into this new environment to ensure an even more convenient usage. Horizon is the newest evolution of the SAP Fiori design language and builds on the success of its predecessors. The new Horizon visual theme paves the way toward a new modular design with bold SAP typography to emphasize important information, a sharper focus with more contrast and space, and an improved information hierarchy with a simplified header bar.
