ALMathon – the ALM hackathon powered by the SAP ALM Summit EMEA
We have launched our first ALMathon challenge in the area of Application Lifecycle Management(ALM) by SAP
Challenge 2021: “How to make the standard ALM processes smarter with a solution extension?”
This challenge has been addressed to our partners and friends in the area of ALM who are deep engaged in ALM scenarios with SAP customers.
Many of those partners have identified gaps and extension possibilities in their engagements, and have built on their experiences own solutions or integrations into other products to improve the standard processes of SAP Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM.
These solutions, extensions and products have been in the focus of the first ALMathon challenge. The participating teams worked on their existing solutions or even created new innovations how to extend ALM processes.
10 teams started in May 2021 with the challenge and provided their solutions with a video pitch to a jury of SAP ALM experts. The jury have now selected the TOP 6 pitches to be in the finals with live pitches at the ALM Summit event on October 19th.
This event is a platform for a huge ALM community which takes place annually virtual or onsite and is giving customers, partners and SAP topic experts a good opportunity to share information and experiences.
If you want to learn more about the solutions, just join the SAP ALM Summit via registristation and don´t miss the finals on day 1, right after the keynote lectures.
All TOP 6 selected teams will pitch their solution again in max. 10 min to all event participants virtually . All audience have the possibility to vote with an online poll, which solution pitch they liked most. The winner will be announced immediately after the pitching sessions and will get a price and never-ending fame of being the first ALMathon winner.

The Cross Connector for Focused Build allows users the use of the Jira Board in addition to the Solution Mangager to track all requirements. The connector allows users to link their agile Jira software to the Requirement to Deploy process for introducing S/4HANA. Focused Build, as an extension to the existing processes in Solution Manager, is a set of predefined processes that allow for a different perspective and handling of S/4 projects. The Focused Build Connector aims to connect the users Solution Manager to Jira projects to give their business an advantage over the competitors in the introduction of S/4HANA.
