25th Edition

The SAP Technical Developers Conference was first held in 1996 in Orlando, Florida during SAPPHIRE. This evolved into an annual event with conferences in Europe, the US, and Asia. The last decade it has been hosted from three location, mostly Las Vegas, Barcelona, and Bangalore, for 3-4 days.

Tracks and Sessions

Like last year, the tracks map to the four pillars of the SAP Business Technology (BTP) platform plus two tracks for the business apps, one for suite management (user interface, security, master data, lifecycle), and one for partner innovation.

Session Catalog

For the complete session and to build your agenda, visit

Together with partner innovations, there are eight tracks. For those more familiar with the product portfolio on SAP.com, here is a mapping.

Four tracks map to the pillars / service portfolios of the Business Technology Platform (BTP)

  • ANA = Analytics
  • DAT = Database and Data Management
  • DEV = Application Development and Integration
  • INT = Intelligent Technologies

The business suite and (cloud) business applications are separated into either ERP (SAP S/4HANA and SAP S/4HANA Cloud) and a CRM + HXM + Spend rack. Note that several cloud business acquisitions (still) organise their own events.

  • DT = Data Transformation with Intelligent ERP
  • ISP = Intelligent Suite Solutions and Processes
    • CRM solutions (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.)
    • HXM (SuccessFactors)
    • Spend Management (Ariba)

The rest, and this includes several once separate tracks, are bundled under intelligent suite.

  • IIS = Integrated Intelligent Suite
    • User experience and UI technologies (SAP Fiori)
    • Security and Identity Management (SAP Cloud Identity)
    • Master data management
    • Lifecycle management (Cloud ALM)

Over the years, for the SAP HANA Academy, SAP’s Partner Innovation Lab, and à titre personnel, I have written a little over 300 posts here for the SAP Community. Some articles only reached a few readers. Others attracted quite a few more. For your reading pleasure and convenience, here is a curated list of posts which somehow managed to pass the 10k-view mile stone and, as sign of current interest, still tickle the counters each month.

      Thanks, Denys.

This rang the bell in what context I have heard that: it's often mentioned when discussing knowledge graphs, like: https://ksiresearch.org/seke/seke17paper/seke17paper_79.pdf

      Sapere aude.
