We at SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) have always been in the forefront to help our ISVs/partners integrate their solutions across a variety of SAP applications and adopting the latest technology solutions, so customers can chose more applications and extensions both from SAP and our partners to run their business.
Effective January 10th, 2022, we will recommend SAP S/4HANA as the default test system as part of our integration certification. The certification scenarios supporting integration of third-party solutions with SAP ECC versions will be moved to “upon request” and carry a higher price tag of 20,000 Euro. This approach will also be applied for all our re-certification cases. However, there will be an exception for ABAP related certification, which will continue to be offered in both SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments at the same price of 10,000 Euro per certification. We encourage all software partners and ISVs who build integrations or extensions to
SAP ERP solutions, to update these integrations for compliance with SAP S/4 HANA and reach out to SAP ICC for integration certification and consulting recommendations.

In 2015, SAP launched the most innovative enterprise platform SAP S/4HANA and has been steadily increasing in customer adoption with over 8,700 customers live on SAP S/4HANA and hundreds more going live every month. Although SAP ECC 6.0 will be fully supported until 2027 – but if customers want to totally leverage the intelligent technologies needed to be competitive today, they are looking to SAP S/4HANA as their way forward.
From the outset, we at SAP ICC part of Partner Innovation Lifecycle Services group have contributed our part to the strategic topics of technology adoption by provisioning easy access to the latest SAP S/4HANA test environments and offering readiness checks in the early days of SAP S/4HANA integrations. Now, we will take the next step to ensure our partners’ solutions are aligned with our customer’s journey.
