Information on Display Line Items in General Ledger SAP Fiori App

Welcome to this blog post on “Display Line Items in General Ledger” SAP Fiori App. In this Blog post, I will provide information regarding Product and Product group in “Display Line Items in General Ledger” SAP Fiori App.

With this app user can check general ledger (G/L) account line items in the general ledger view. User can use filters to display open and cleared items for open-item-managed accounts, or all line items of a G/L account. User can also select the line items based on a key date or after the clearing date in conjunction with a key date. If user is selecting all items, you can also choose a posting date range.

In SAP Fiori App “Display Line Items in General Ledger” material field is not available. As workaround, user can select Product field from change Settings option in the line-items. User can also select Product group which is material group. If some cases Product group field is blank in “Display Line Items in General Ledger” SAP Fiori App. This is due to field is not in the material document, it is not sent over to the FI interface and it is not updated in the accounting document either.

Steps to select Product and Product Group

  • Go to the Fiori launchpad and Launch app “Display Line Items in General Ledger”.

  • Enter required fields (i.e., Ledger, Company code, G/L Account, Status and Posting Date) and click on Go button.

  • Go to Setting and click on Product and Product group.

  • Product and Product group information is Displayed.

Conclusion

Material field is not available in the SAP Fiori app “Display Line Items in General Ledger”. Users need to select Product field to display the desired data and if Product group is blank then product group field is not in the material document, it is not sent over to the FI interface and it is not updated in the accounting document either.

Thank you for this useful information.

Is it possible to click on a line item to view the full posting details (such as possible when using FAGLL03 or FBL3N9)?

      Thanks in advance,

Would like to comment that this change was a very poor decision on the part of SAP. Combining the material number field and the description from the material master into a single field makes it much more difficult to export and use this data in Excel.
