We live in a world of immense possibilities and when it comes to running a business, the opportunities can be spread wide across the world. Enterprises of every magnitude are increasingly leaning towards multi-country operations to tap into the potential of global markets.

Enterprises need a clear understanding of how to ensure adherence to current legal mandates in every country of operation while keeping an eye to regulatory trends in local markets.  The required expertise poses a challenge to any business and creates a need for a localized software solution which becomes pivotal to managing compliance cost efficiently on a global scale.  SAP can help to ensure peace of mind while customers expand globally and operate locally. Compliance need not be complex when you are backed by expertise on a local and global level. Agility to adapt to new mandates while building business process resilience in a constantly changing business environment is crucial for success.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Localization

Integrated business processes, embedded analytics, and the power to assess and adapt continuously while keeping sustainability at the core, constitute the basic traits of an intelligent enterprise. SAP S/4HANA Cloud localization is provided out of the box for many local versions offering enterprises the ability to scale their business processes across the globe by addressing country-specific requirements and regulatory needs.

Enabling Global Business

SAP delivers country / region specific localizations as local versions. There are 43 local versions delivered by SAP in 27 languages currently available. Each of these 43 local versions provides customers with unique set of localized functionality and content necessary to do business in each country or region. Details can be found here.

Now we are happy to share that SAP plans to add an additional 16 local versions detailed below into our roadmap covering a finance-led ERP scope for service-centric industries.

With a mission to empower our customers and partners to realize their localization needs on their own, SAP will also facilitate the creation of local versions via customer implementation. Customers may use a capability in SAP Central Business Configuration to create new local versions providing “Rest of World” coverage from Q4 2021. This capability is in an early adopter mode and you can find more details in the release restriction note.
