The Manage Customer Line Items app and the Manage Supplier Line Items app display line items from a Financial Operations’ point of view. They show the invoiced amount, when this amount is due to be paid, and whether the invoiced amount has been dunned already. Usually, there is exactly one line item per invoice, which shows the full invoiced amount and its payment terms.
The following screenshot shows two AR line items. Each line item represents an individual customer invoice.
From a G/L Accounting point of view, the invoiced amount can be split up into different invoice items. For example, one invoice can comprise two items that are assigned to different profit centers. To display the profit center assignment as well as other account assignments, you can use the Display Line Items in General Ledger app. For more information, see Display Line Items in General Ledger.
The following screenshot shows the customer line item report from the G/L viewpoint. Note that the table layout has been personalized to display the line items in a similar way to in the Manage Customer Line Items app.
For journal entry 1800000063 with a total invoiced amount of USD 1,190.00, it shows two line items with different profit center assignments.
