Did you know SAP Help Portal gets several million visits per month? This means that external users visit SAP Help Portal millions of times a month to learn about our products or find out how to install, configure, and use their SAP software. The numbers tell us that there is a high demand for the vast amount of information that the almost-1500 user assistance developers and translators produce at SAP. But are the visitors satisfied with the information they find?

We know that customers expect high quality in their user assistance content, just like they do for their SAP solutions. However, we also know from surveys and other feedback mechanisms that sometimes our content falls short of their expectations. So how can SAP achieve the quality that’s expected?

At SAP, there are several teams that focus exclusively on the evolution and adoption of quality standards and guidelines for the content published on SAP Help Portal. These teams have rolled out various initiatives over the last few years specifically designed to improve its overall content quality and are always looking for more ways to scale and innovate on quality.

  • Controlled Vocabulary – See how we use consistent verbs in our task topic titles to help you find what you’re looking for.

  • Editing at SAP – Learn how the editing process at SAP works and what the editors look for to improve quality.
