SADL Query on EC (SAP Sales Cloud/Service Cloud)

As we know that when working with the queries on the UI screen, SADL queries are better in terms of performance compared to the normal queries. Also they are more convenient in terms of field selections.

However, when we work with EC, we are not able to use the SADL query. As by default when we go to the controller section and try to create we only get option to add normal query.

Reason for that is the “Parent Dependency” Property of the EC is marked as “yes” by default.

We just need to change the value of this property to “no”  from the drop down values.

Once the value is changed, navigate to the controllers tab and right click on the Query node to see the option to add SADL query.

Save and Activate the changes.
