How to deactivate sending e-mails from TC SOST

Introduction

This procedure shows how to deactivate e-mails from transactions SOST.

 

Pré-requisites:

SAP Basis rights

 

Implementation:

  • Logon to transaction SCOT
  • Double click on SMTP behind Business Communication Administration -> Settings -> SMTP Connection -> Outbound Messages -> SMTP Nodes -> SMTP
  • uncheck “node in use”
  • Enter
  • save

Conclusion:

After this steps the e-mails from TC SOST are deactivate and not sent out.

      Thanks Marcos.

      We should disable this in non-Productive environment and enable in controlled way (putting filtered Mail ID) so that unwanted/test mail should not be sent to Business users or Suppliers/Customers if their mail-ids are maintained.

      This kind of issue may occur when you are copying PRD data into QA /Pre-PRD.

       

      One can check the mail body & content from SOST, if needed.
