As a kid I enjoyed watching episodes of the tv-show “Die Sendung mit der Maus”, it was on air every Sunday morning and it was great fun to watch and learn about things.
For those of you who are not familiar with the format of the show, let me give you some explanation: build for kids and young adults the show was entertaining with some cartoons, but as well supported education by providing videos that explained “how things are made”. One of the actors went into, let’s say a shoe factory, and got a tour where a person from that company explained how shoes are being made. They broke that complex topic down into smaller, digestible chunks so that kids could understand.
I truly believe that continuous learning is not only mandatory in our fast-paced society, it is crucial for survival in business. Carving out time to educate yourself on the other hand is not always easy, I can tell from my own experience. When the daily business, deadlines and high priority items demand attention, those other planned activities can fall behind. In addition to that we are all surrounded with technical terms and new technologies that drive trends but are sometimes hard to fully understand without a proper investment of time. This is why there is a need for entertaining episodes that touch on those topics at an entry level.
Therefore, I chose to setup such a format myself: Transport current topics around customer experience and beyond in an unscripted, authentic format. I will invite experts that help me (and the audience) to better understand the subjects. All of that wrapped in an open and authentic discussion recorded on video.
I feel very honored that my management chose to give me the freedom to produce that new format. It will be called “SchlauBurger Show” and should be available soon. In its core it is planned as a community driven format, that means I am more than open to topic suggestions from the audience, so please, if there are certain subjects that you want to know more about, please let me know.
