Usability Enhancements to SAP Road Map Explorer
As the one-stop shop for all road maps, the SAP Road Map Explorer tool evolves nonstop with the goal of better serving customers in their planning and decision-making processes. For this reason, we enhance the tool on a regular basis, both its interface and usability settings.
Learn more about some of the latest enhancements to the tool in three simple categories.
1) Navigation
Now, navigating through SAP Road Map Explorer is possible simply using your keyboard. This usability improvement aims to increase the accessibility of the tool to address the needs of the more diverse user portfolio.
Now, you can use the “arrow down” and “arrow right” functionality to move to the next sibling element in the group, and you can use “arrow up” and “arrow left” functionalities to move to the previous sibling element in the group. While “tab” enables you to jump into a group, “shift + tab” enables you to jump out of the group.
Innovation detail dialog
Upon clicking a particular innovation, an innovation detail dialog pops up, where you can drill down even more details. If you are a user who prefers browsing innovations on SAP Road Map Explorer using your mobile device, the recent enhancements offer an easier tab-handling experience in the mobile layout as well. While reviewing the innovation details in the dialog box, you now have the option to favorite the innovation for your future references.
From a look-and-feel point of view, action button styling is aligned with SAP branding and style.
2) Content refresh
In the past, the content updates on SAP Road Map Explorer occurred twice a week. Since the content on SAP Road Map Explorer increases every day, we are committed to providing you with the most up-to-date information even faster than it used to be.
The content updates in the tool now run daily, and this process has now been fully automated.
This means that every day in the tool is a new day with refreshed content (with the condition that content is maintained in the back end), and that the mechanism to push the content is more reliable.
3) Multiple filters in the search bar
In the case of many filters being selected, the latest user experience improvements help avoid the overflow of chips, providing you with a smoother user experience when applying several filters on the search bar.
