Use SAP Data Intelligence for openSAP Getting Started with Data Science – Unit 7: Initial Data Analysis and Exploratory Data Analysis
If you had been following Getting Started with Data Science (Edition 2021) by Stuart Clarke, in Week 1 – Unit 7:Initial Data Analysis and Exploratory Data Analysis he is getting hands on with Orange, but also mentions that to replicate his exercises any data science or machine learning system can of course be used.
I chose to use SAP Data Intelligence:
To make his provided dataset available to me, I load it into the ML Data Manager:
To Edit in Metadata Explorer and being presented with similar information as Stuart gets from the Orange file widget:
To view the data, I simply open its Fact Sheet in Data Preview:
For my Histograms, I use Jupyter Lab:

Looking forward to the next units.
thanks a lot for sharing this blog with us!
Short question regarding Jupyter Labs. Seems it's SAP branded. Is it a service running on BTP? Or what do you use here exactly? I assume it's not part of DataIntelligence, right?
Thanks so much, Best,
Good question, Frank.
In fact, SAP Data Intelligence includes Jupyter Lab.
love to see that as I also started with a comparison in different tools as I think this is an interesting experience. Currently just missed a little bit the last week...
As I have no DI access I referenced to your blogs. Hope this is ok
Please go on!
Perfect, Peter. Great Blog
