SAP announces two new Fiori-Apps for Global Trade Management (GTM)

Since some time Global Trade Management can be used by Fiori-Apps. These are not native SAPUI5 Apps but Apps based on SAP GUI. They can be used by desktop and tablet in the browser.

You can find them in the SAP Fiori Apps Reference Library just by searching for the t-code e.g. WB21 for the creation of a trading contract.

GTM Fiori Apps

SAP delivers two roles you can use as a starting point:

  • SAP_BR_TRADER and
  • SAP_BR_TRADING_MANAGER

More over during the DSAG Meeting of SIG GTM in June 2021 SAP announced, that they started to work on CDS views for GTM, which will also be used to build two new SAPUI5 Fiori Apps. It will be a Monitor Trading Contract App and a Manage Trading Contract App similar to what we know from e.g. Settlement Management.

I think, that this is great news and an important next step for a cloud ready application.

In you are interested in giving feedback and input to these app, please consider to become a member of our DSAG user group Global Trade Management.

Peter:  I've noticed a few posts from you on GTM capability and hoped I could ask a related question to this S4HANA support topic.  I have a trading company client who uses GTM.  They are interested in deploying a CRM solution for their traders, who are resistant to touching SAP ERP.  To our knowledge C4C does not support Trading Contract integration so we are considering enhancing both the ERP and C4C systems to allow integration (custom ODATA integrations in the ERP, custom objects and logic in C4C).  I have investigated the C4C roadmap but could not find anything that indicated the support of Trading Contracts was planned.  Can you confirm if that is even on the priority list for SAP?

      Dear Sean,

as far as I know there is no such integration planned nor does it exist today.

Our customers have build such integrations by themselves.

If you have other questions regarding GTM I can answer them but I would prefer, if you could use the questions and answer function and tag it with global trade management.

      Best

Thanks that was my ignorance of how the Q&A works.  Will definitely leverage in the future.
