This blog post is about a new feature released by SAP in 1H 2021: Manage Data Storage.
Before 1H 2021 release, Business were not able to see data usage of their Instance, with this new release all SF customer can see data usage of their SF instance.
Now, you can view data usage of your instance and manage storage space in the new Manage Data Storage tool. Manage Data Storage offers you an insight of the storage usage in your instance. You can make data retention strategies accordingly. You need to enable this service via Manager Permission Role.
Manage Data Storage offers the following functionalities in SuccessFactors Admin Centre:
- You get an overview of data usage in your instance (refer below screenshot) for different Data Type like Forms, Photos, Documents:
- You get detailed breakdowns of data usage by module enabled in your instance:
- To free up storage space, you can purge data, via the link provided on top right to the Data Retention Management:
- SuccessFactors will update Data presented in each section every week on the weekend.
To enable Manage Data Store on Admin Center, Go to Manager Permission Roleà Click on respective Roleà Admin Center Permissionsà Select “Access Manage Data Storage”:
With Manage Data Storage feature, SF customer can view data usage of their instance for different data type and module wise.
