Document Compliance

Governments are going digital and businesses need to keep up with the pace of the digital transformation. Here are a few recent innovations addressing these growing needs. SAP Document Compliance supports creation of electronic documents to fulfil the B2G e-invoicing requirement in public procurement in Poland. SAP Document Compliance is an integrated end-to-end process to create electronic documents. You use the Peppol Exchange service to exchange electronic documents between your company and your business partners using the Peppol network.

As part of the overarching Digital Business Plan, e-invoicing has recently been made mandatory for federal procurements by mid of 2022 in Australia and this requirement is addressed via SAP Document Compliance.

Extensibility

New Features in Customs CDS View App

With the SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2105 release, the following features were added:

  • Supported Capabilities are attributes of SAP views that can be used as data sources in custom CDS views. Supported capabilities describe how a view is supposed to be used. There are two capabilities that are particularly relevant when building custom CDS views. These are “Modelling Data Source” and “Association Target”. From 2105 onwards, you will be guided to use data sources that are suitable for modelling according to these capabilities.

  • Publishing was enhanced to update adjacent views where seamlessly possible (e.g., to promote updates to the access protection that were done in underlying SAP views).

  • Checks on Data Type Compatibility were reworked and enhanced to also allow comparisons with different data types. This feature was also downported to the 2102 release.

  • The Overview Page has been extended with

    • the publishing and generation status

    • the  column 'Exported'

  • Color Coding available for

    • issues in existing custom CDS views (rework or checks)

    • adding data sources (suitability of data sources)

    • tabs (for easier identification of issues)

  • Log

    • Was moved to a tab and can therefore be reached at any time

    • Now displays changes to adjacent views if there are any

    • Now reflects the publishing or check status in its color

  • The Dimension Scenario now allows to adapt key attributes to enable the usage of custom BOs in analytical dimensions.
