Enterprise Management Layer for SAP S/4HANA – Information Hub

Accelerate Your Project by Using a Global Template Offering Preconfigured End-to-End Business Processes for Multinational Corporations

In a Nutshell

The enterprise management layer is ideal for new and existing customers operating in multiple countries and looking for a global template offering standard, preconfigured end-to-end business processes to start their SAP S/4HANA journey.

Combined with the SAP Activate methodology, the enterprise management layer will accelerate each customer’s implementation project, either used as a reference system or sandbox during the Explore phase, or as a global template to build on. The enterprise management layer is available for net new customers as well as customers transitioning from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA that choose a greenfield, ‘back to standard’ approach. Available for deployment in a customer’s on premise or hosted landscape, it can be leveraged in the context of RISE with SAP and SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition.

The enterprise manage layer is based on SAP Best Practices and offers preconfigured end-to-end business processes across all application areas, including sample master data and print forms as well as detailed documentation for users. Its main value however lies in the preconfigured Finance processes that are specific to multinational corporations:

  • Parallel accounting capabilities according to group GAAP as well as local statutory and tax requirements
  • Localized, preconfigured business content and documentation for up to 49 countries
  • Intercompany processes for sale of products with and without valuated stock in transit | for service and repair orders | for billing of fixed price and resource-related projects.

      Hi

Thanks for the blog. One quick question?

Is there any relationship between SAP Model Company and Enterprise Management Layer?

      Thanks

      Basanth

      Hi Basanth,

yes : the enterprise management layer (release 2020) replaces the SAP Model Company for Multinational Corporations (1909, 1809), which followed the SAP Model Company for Enterprise Foundation (up to release 1709 and which we also called 'world template' - starting 2011.

Sometimes, the Model Company for Multinational Corporations was positioned and assembled together with industry or LoB-specific Model Companies.

      Hope this answers your question.

      Thanks and regards,

      Petra

      Thanks in advance

      Hi Gustavo,

The former SAP Retail Model Company has now been renamed SAP Standard content activation service – Core Retail. This Service delivers pre-configured SAP S/4 HANA Retail best practices as a project accelerator.  You can contact your SAP Service Account Manager for more information.

      Thanks and regards,

      Petra
