You can learn more about this session here and about the Integration Black Belt Live series on the SAP Community Calls here.

Missed the session! no problem, you can watch the Replay and view the presentation .

In this session, holger.himmelmann2 Senior Solution Architect and Consulting Director at cbs, Corporate Business Solutions shared customer examples of how Integration suite is simplifying and accelerating 3rd party integrations with non-SAP systems. Following the presentation, we had a panel discussion and very interactive live Q&A with the attendees.

We had a lively audience joining us from various countries around the globe like Germany, United States, India, Chile, Brazil, Malaysia, Norway, Belgium, Canada, Netherlands, Poland, France and Italy .

Here are the answers to some of the key questions from the audience:

[Q] Is it necessary to pay any extra costs in order to activate\import API Business Hub content if customer already has Integration Suite license?
The content from API business hub is available for discovery for free and consumption is through Integration suite license. So no additional costs.

[Q] Can we utilize all the features of SAP Integration Suite (Open Connectors, API-M, CPI etc) with the license or there are different pricing options for the flavor's we choose to implement within Integration Suite?
As part of Integration Suite, you get CPI, APIM, OCN and IA and they can be used without any additional pricing options.

[Q] If Customer has PI\PO now and doesn't have any motivation to move to Integration Suite since PI\PO is supported until 2030, what should be the main arguments for this transformation?
SAP Process Orchestration is in maintenance mode, i. e. SAP keeps on supporting it, however with the main focus on on-premise to on-premise integration. SAP Integration is based on a complete new architecture with many more capabilities, such as flexible integration flows and monthly feature updates. The way forward is SAP Integration Suite.

[Q] Is there any plans for migration tool from SAP PI/ PO to Integration Suite?
Migration from SAP PO to SAP Integration Suite is already supported, you can connect a PO system to a SAP Cloud Integration tenant and upload message mappings from SAP PO to SAP Integration Suite. Further migration possibilities are planned along the roadmap.

[Q] Can we expect GIT capabilities/collaboration enabled within CPI to automate CI/CD pipelines. Currently i hope it is up to customers to implement the same via platform API's
We will publish soon a blog on the current capabilities for CI/CD process in SAP Integration Suite. Further plans for a tighter integration of SAP Integration Suite with CI/CD pipeline is planned, such as better GIT integration etc.

[Q] From your project samples, how do you see the benefits of using Integration Advisor in integration with EDI or any other B2B Scenarios?
The key benefits of the SAP Integration Advisor is the automatic generation of message implementation guidelines and mapping guidelines, with this you can save around 60% implementation effort.

[Q] Is Integration Suite cloud-based only?
SAP Integration Suite is a cloud based integration platform as a service, and also support a hybrid deployment option, which is currently bundled together with SAP Process Orchestration 7.5. An independent hybrid deployment option for SAP Integration Suite is planned along the roadmap.

We also ran some polls during our session and here are the results:
