SAP Business ByDesign 21.05 is now available and the SAP Business ByDesign What’s New blog gives you an overview about the most important new features of SAP Business ByDesign 21.05.

- Start and End Date for Contract
In contracts customers are now able to see the start and end date to each billing item. This is especially important for subscription business (Blog).
- GTIN for KIT header product and Support them in Sales Order documents
Customer in the Sales Order scenario can now use a GTIN/UPC (Global Trade Item Number) for the kit header product as it needs to be charged for the overall kit and scan that UPC rather than the individual products (Blog).

- Microsoft Teams® for SAP Business ByDesign
SAP Business ByDesign users are now enable to easily access features (e.g. opportunity or account list) of the SAP Business ByDesign system directly from Microsoft Teams (Blog).
- Intelligent Mobile Expense Scanning
With the new release users are enabled to scan a receipt, which will be than converted as an expense within an expense report (Blog).
- Mobile Time Recording & Mobile Push
Employees and managers are now able to use the Business ByDesign Mobile app for time recording and can see push notifications for approvals (Blog).
- SAP Enable Now Web Assistant for SAP Business ByDesign
SAP Enable Now Web Assistant is available in addition to the Help Center to display context-sensitive help and learning content. (Blog).
- Configure to use general actions in Analytical Reports
Customer are now able to control use of the general actions like Download, Send and Add Fields in the analytical reports (Blog).
- OData API for Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Customers are now able to access and extract Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) data using OData service to extract data from SAP Business ByDesign (Blog).
- Event notification and pushing data to external applications
Administrators are now able to configure events which will push data to external applications based on events in ByDesign.

- Service Confirmation and Timesheet Integration : Additional features
When an employee performs a service confirmation on a service order, the hours consumed in the service confirmation automatically reflect in the employee’s timesheet. This feature is now available for Service Agents (Blog ).

- Intelligent Supplier Invoice Scanning Enhancements

- Adding Components to Started Production Orders
Due to short-term planned changes it might happen that components need to be added to already started production orders, which is now possible (Blog).
- Analytical insights in Supply Chain Management
Two new reports are available for the Supply Chain Management area that enable better analytical insights for the production manager and the warehouse manager:
- Production Order/Lot: Dates and Quantities’ and underlying data source provides you with the actual production duration and the delay (Blog).
- Inventory Ageing shows the stock quantity for a product/site combination grouped into ranges of age in days for which the stock remains in the warehouse or site (Blog).
- Customer Consignment
Customers are now able to get an overview about the consignment stock at, to and from the customer’s location (Blog).

Expense Reporting – Mileage Accumulation
With the new release mileage accumulation on basis of vehicle class in expense reporting is now possible (Video).
Bank Statement Format MT940
Customer is able to generate bank statements based on the file content that is provided by the bank (Video).
TCS Threshold Amount Check
The seller is now able to mark a particular customer as TCS relevant, based on the threshold amount warning message thrown during the creation of customer invoice (Video).
VAT on Sales by Cash Receipts
Documents created with the new tax code 591 will be reported in the aforementioned tax returns as per Law DL nr. 127 05/08/2015 Art. 2, published by the Tax Authority in Italy (Video).
Journal Report – Page Number Sequencing
Customers will now be able to generate multiple PDFs outputs for a given run with progressive page numbers (Video).
Correction Invoice in VAT Return
With the new release correction Invoices created for the original invoices, will now be part of normal VAT return (Video).

Customers can now compare Cost of goods manufactured report of two years or between different periods of same year (Video).
Credit memo handling in E-Tax Invoices
The credit memo documents will be considered for E-tax invoice generation for both Standalone and Aggregate invoice scenarios (Video).
Partner Tax File Generation
VAT Return files can be formatted and generated by Partners. Existing VAT Return files can be also be independently changed (Video).
