¿Cómo buscar por SAP Notes para un nivel especifico de Support Packages?

A veces se desea hacer una búsqueda por SAP Notes que sean válidas sólo para un reléase y un Support Package específico. O quizá desde un Support Package en adelante.

En este blog post, les voy a mostrar cómo hacer esta búsqueda, y compartiré algunos materiales que dispone SAP acerca de este tema.

Expert Search: nuestro mejor amigo al buscar SAP Notes

Con el Expert Search, usted puede hacer búsquedas por SAP Notes usando un par de filtros, y entre ellos están los de Support Package.

¿Qué es el Expert Search?

Es una potente herramienta que le permite recuperar listas de SAP Notes basadas en criterios de selección avanzados.

Además, puede grabar estas consultas para utilizarlas en el futuro. Esta función es muy útil si lleva a cabo análisis regulares de SAP Notes relevantes.

¿Cómo puedo accederlo?

Usted puede acceder el Expert Search desde:

• Su enlace: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/mynotes?tab=Search
• El SAP ONE Support Launchpad (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#), desde el mosaico My SAP Notes & KBAs (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/mynotes):

¿Cómo se utiliza?

Abajo algunos ejemplos de uso del Expert Search.

1. Buscando SAP Notes para un nivel de SP

Aquí voy a hacer búsqueda de SAP Notes utilizando los filtros disponibles.

En el ejemplo, busco SAP Notes para Nómina de Colombia (PY-CO), para el SP F0, release 604 (Add-on):

2. Buscando con una view (“variante”) ya grabada

Aquí voy a hacer una búsqueda utilizando una view ya grabada.

En el ejemplo, busco SAP Notes liberadas en el SP 86 del release 608* para Nómina de México (PY-MX), siendo que los parámetros de la búsqueda ya están en una view que yo he creado previamente:

*Usted puede consultar el nivel de Support Package en su sistema en el menú Sistema > Status. Bajo Datos Sistema SAP, véase la versión del producto:

• Para el componente de SAP_HR:
  
• Para el componente de SAP_HRCMX:
  

3. Grabando una view (“variante”)

Aquí voy a grabar una view de búsqueda.

En el ejemplo, grabo una view para SAP Notes de Nómina de Chile (PY-CL) desde el Release 608, SP 92:

4. Activando notificaciones para consultas específicas

Aquí voy a activar notificaciones para una view de búsqueda. Más informaciones en los KBAs:

Esta opción es interesante si usted desea recibir notificaciones para la búsqueda realizada. En este ejemplo, voy a activar notificaciones para SAP Notes de Nómina de Argentina (PY-AR) que fueron liberadas en el Release 608, SP 80:

5. Descargando la lista de SAP Notes

En el Expert Search, usted puede también descargar la lista de SAP Notes de su consulta seleccionando el botón Export List as CSV File:

Así que, como hemos visto en los ejemplos de arriba, el Expert Search es una herramienta muy útil para hacer sus búsquedas de SAP Notes, siendo posible grabar views y parametrizar notificaciones.

How to search for SAP Notes for a specific Support Package level?

Sometimes you want to search for SAP Notes that are valid only for one release and one specific Support Package. Or perhaps from a Support Package level onwards.

In this blog post, I’m going to show you how to do this search and share some additional resources on this topic.

Expert Search: our best friend when searching for SAP Notes

With Expert Search, you can search for SAP Notes using various filters, including Support Package ones.

What is Expert Search?

Quoting its documentation:
“The Expert Search is a powerful tool that lets you retrieve lists of notes based on advanced selection criteria. Furthermore, you can save these queries for future use. This feature is extremely helpful if you carry out regular analyses of relevant notes, for instance identify important notes regarding legal changes towards the end of your company’s billing cycles”

How do I access it?

You can access the Expert Search from:

• Its link: https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/mynotes?tab=Search
• The SAP ONE Support Launchpad (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/), from the My SAP Notes & KBAs (https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/mynotes) tile:

How do I use it?

Below are some examples of how Expert Search can be used.

1. Searching for SAP Notes for an SP level

Here I’m going to search for SAP Notes using the available filters.

In the example, I search for SAP Notes for Payroll Colombia (PY-CO), for SP F0, release 604 (Add-On):

2. Searching using an already-saved view (“variant”)

Here I’m going to search using an already saved view.

In the example, I search for SAP Notes released in SP 86 of Release 608* for Payroll Mexico (PY-MX), considering that the search parameters are already in a view that I created beforehand:

*You can see the Support Package level in your system from the menu System > Status. Under SAP System Data, see the product version:

3. Saving a view (“variant”)

Here I’m going to save a search view.

In the example, I save a view for SAP Notes for Payroll Chile (PY-CL) from Release 608, SP 92 onward:

4. Activating notifications for specific queries

Here I’m going to activate notifications for a search view. More information on KBAs:

This option is interesting if you want to receive notifications for the search performed. In this example, I’ll activate notifications for SAP Notes for Payroll Argentina (PY-AR) that were released in Release 608, SP 80:

5. Exporting the list of SAP Notes

In Expert Search, you can also export a list of the SAP Notes you search, by choosing the Export List as CSV File button:

As we have seen in the examples above, Expert Search is a very useful tool for your SAP Notes searches, making it possible to save views and set up notifications.
