May 26-27

Slides & Recordings (Day 1, Day 2)

Dear Valued Customer,

On May 26th-27th, we delivered a virtual SAP MaxAttention Innovation Workshop sharing the latest details and experiences for “SAP User Experience Strategy for Intelligent Enterprise”, providing our SAP MaxAttention customers with the One User Experience (UX) vision for the consistent web experience, responsive and intelligent interface for their Intelligent Enterprise; offering the harmonized set of recommendations, guidance, leveraging UX best practices on the journey to Intelligent Enterprise. The agenda for this workshop can be found here.

The enterprise user experience is a key success factor for the Intelligent Enterprise. SAP Fiori is the UX of the Intelligent Enterprise that changes the way users work. It equips designers and developers with a set of tools and guidelines to create apps for any platform faster than ever – providing a consistent, innovative experience for both creators and users. SAP Fiori enables you to turn new ideas into great apps as quickly as the market demands.

(One User Experience is Key)

The first day has started with the Introduction of SAP User Experience Strategy and Product Roadmap, providing the Big Picture for SAP Fiori and an overview for SAP Fiori 3 technology.

Next, we moved to session SAP Fiori Deployment Options & System Landscape Recommendations, learning the key UX Integration capabilities to establish a central entry point for business users. We spoke about SAP Fiori Frontend Server Strategy, Deployment Scenarios, SAP Fiori Launchpad as a Central Entry Point: SAP Launchpad Service in SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP Work Zone, and SAP Enterprise Portal Migration Options.

(Transition Paths: Decision Tree)

Concluding the first day of the workshop we spoke about Implementation Best-Practices for a great UX for the Intelligent Enterprise. Overall Key Take-Aways was that SAP Fiori should be implemented from a workplace or business role perspective to ensure maximum value (“top-down” instead of “bottom-up”). We presented how to adopt the workplace centric implementation for different project scales. Different roles within SAP S/4HANA implementation project need to work closely together and use a dedicated guideline containing all relevant aspects to be designed and configured across all work-streams. Starting with pilot workplaces to design a SAP Fiori launchpad increases business satisfaction. Deriving tailored guidelines and process definitions from these helps to achieve a scalable SAP Fiori Adoption. On top, we introduced the SAP S/4HANA tools supporting your SAP Fiori implementation.

Improving the user experience of your current software goes beyond making good looking interface screens. Task effectiveness, task efficiency and user satisfaction are key elements in the evaluation of a successful user interface.

The second day of the SAP MaxAttention Innovation Workshop started with Mobilization Strategy for Intelligent Enterprise. We introduced the SAP’s new UX mobile strategy. We learned how the Extension Suite can deliver enterprise mobile applications for the Intelligent Enterprise with SAP Business Technology Platform Mobile Services (BTPms) and the mobile SDK’s and how to make the move from on-prem mobile solutions to SAP Business Technology Platform Mobile Services (BTPms).
