SAP Business Technology Platform – New Garage Series

On May 5th, Cecily Sorenson and I will be kicking off SAP’s Business Technology Platform (BTP) Garage series (link). This community call series is for SAP BTP Builders (developers and enthusiasts) to learn and connect with topic experts on how to get started quickly with their SAP BTP projects.

Within each call you will gain insights and experience with an SAP BTP technology. We will showcase the technology’s capabilities according to a corresponding mission in SAP Discovery Center. You will meet subject matter experts, who will walk through the specific mission in step-by-step detail. As hosts, Cecily and I will look to moderate each session by asking relevant questions to provide context and insights. The live sessions will feature a chat forum as well as a dedicated question and answer session, where you will have the opportunity to ask the experts any specific questions you have about the topic. You will have the ability to start your own mission, follow the guidance provided by the expert speakers, and ultimately gain visibility into the underlining requirements and effort required for each technology.

For the first session, we have selected an exciting mission that will showcase how you can take advantage of event-driven capabilities with SAP BTP in the context of SAP ERP 6.0 (ECC): Extend SAP ERP 6.0 (ECC) business processes on SAP BTP. SAP BTP supports event-driven capabilities with other SAP and third-party applications. This session will showcase the main aspects of setting up an event-driven, asynchronous architecture, even if you are not running SAP ERP 6.0.

In each call, you will gain hands-on, step-by-step technical guidance. We will of course provide a bit of context for each mission at the beginning of the call, but the focus will be on getting into the details of the Discovery Center mission as quickly as possible.

To register for the first SAP BTP Garage session please visit, SAP BTP Garage, as well as register for your SAP Discovery Center account, so you can follow along in real-time. On behalf of Cecily and myself, we look forward to seeing you online for our first SAP BTP Garage session on May 5th!
