SAP MaxAttention Innovation Workshop “How to achieve operational excellence of your Intelligent Enterprise”

On May 18-19, 2021 we hosted a virtual SAP MaxAttention Innovation Workshop with speakers from SAP Product Engineering, Technology and Innovation, SAP MaxAttention Center of Expertise, and SAP customers – Lockheed Martin and Vale. The topics evolved around DevOps and Hybrid Operations.
The event was kicked off by Balaji Gaddam Rao, Vice President and Head of SAP MaxAttention Center Of Expertise (CoE) North America at SAP, and Alina Boissay, Director at SAP MaxAttention CoE North America at SAP who has organized and hosted the event. They discussed the challenges that companies are facing with regards to operations of hybrid landscapes and how SAP MaxAttention can support them in overcoming those challenges.
Karin Spiegel, Product Manager from Cloud Lifecycle Management (CLM) at SAP, and Patrick Schmidt, Chief Support Architect of SAP MaxAttention Center of Expertise EMEA at SAP, discussed how Git-enabled CTS (gCTS) integrated with Change Request Management (ChaRM) module of SAP Solution Manager helps companies introduce distributed development also for ABAP on premise.
Boris Zarske, Product Manager from CLM Product Management at SAP, Irina Kirilova, Product Expert of SAP BTP Core Team at SAP, and Kiril Gavrailov, Product Manager from CLM Software Logistics at SAP provided the latest updates of DevOps services on SAP Business Technology Platform which, along with gCTS, help companies implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) for hybrid applications that run on-premise and on cloud solutions.
We were pleased to welcome Michael Reynolds, DevSecOps Agile Team Product Owner at Lockheed Martin, who presented the DevOps journey in his company that has been supported by SAP MaxAttention service engagement. Prateek Dhiman, Support Architect at SAP MaxAttention CoE North America at SAP, outlined the framework of the SAP MaxAttention services engagement that he and other experts used to help Lockheed Martin achieve their goals.
Nicolas Alech, Senior Product Manager of SAP Product Engineering at SAP, spoke about the partnership between SAP and Tricentis in the test automation space and introduced various Tricentis products that constitute the recommended portfolio of testing tools for SAP and non-SAP landscapes.
Sinje Seidler, Senior Product Manager of SAP Product Engineering at SAP, Andrea Schuhmann, Support Architect at SAP MaxAttention Center of Expertise at SAP, and Thomas Merta, Product Manager of SAP Product Engineering at SAP, demonstrated strategic operations platforms from SAP – SAP Cloud ALM, SAP Focused Run, and SAP Solution Manager.
Thorsten Diegel, SAP MaxAttention Services Portfolio Owner for Hybrid Operations at SAP, discussed the major focus areas of his portfolio and how customers can leverage them to overcome their operational challenges.
Experts from SAP MaxAttention Center of Expertise Andrea Schuhmann (Support Architect), Andrew Kusnetsov (Senior Support Engineer), Artem Sharganov (Machine Learning Consultant), and Anubhav Chopra (Support Architect) presented variety of topics of how customers can boost their operations by using intelligent technologies of SAP Business Technology Platform, like SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, and SAP Analytics Cloud, and bring their operations control center to the next level.
Glenn Svensson, Vice President and Program Owner of SAP Business operations Self-healing at SAP, and Andy Lawrence, Lead Architect of SAP Business Operations Self-Healing at SAP, outlined the product updates of SAP Business operations Self-healing, the out-of-the-box AI platform built on SAP Business Technology Platform, and its future roadmap as part of SAP Business Process Intelligence.
Finally, SAP MaxAttention customer Vale represented by Maria Carmo Alves (System Analyst of SAP Hosting) and Giovani Luorenco De Freitas (System Analyst of SAP Applications) demonstrated how SAP Business operations Self-healing platform helped their company automated some of the repetitive tasks in Sales Order Fulfillment and IT Operations areas. The presentation was supported by Elienai Nascimento, SAP Technical Quality Manager at SAP, and Anubhav Chopra, Support Architect, who executed on SAP MaxAttention services engagement during the deployment of SAP Business operations Self-healing.
Overall, 195 customers from 59 companies and 11 countries registered for the event. The feedback from the customer was very positive.
We are looking forward to continue working with our SAP MaxAttention customers and help them tackle their challenges of DevOps, CI/CD, and Hybrid Operations.
