Time Recording Units Blank after Solution Manager 7.2 SPS 12 Update
This article has the objective to help the SAP Solution Manager Consultants and SAP Consultants to solve the problem of blank time unit at Time Recording Block on ITSM Ticket after an Update of SAP Solution Manager 7.2.
The objective is to inform you that this problem is due to a missing customizing activity on the new customizing path for Focus Build.
Below an explanation about the process of the correctness of this issue
After the Update of SAP Solution Manager 7.2 to SPS 12, the whole new and modifications registry’s time recording is with Time Unit Empty, not showing the value.
Even if you made the configuration of time unit at Original Time Recording Customizing Path as below:
Filled correctly with Time Unit that would be used on Time Recording Block at ITSM Tickets.
To solve this problem you need to do a new configuration of Time Unit at SPRO Customizing in the section Focus Build Path > Define Selectable Time Units for Resource Planning as below:
Then inserting a new registry with Time Unit desired to use at ITSM Tickets. If you would like to use more Time Units on your Tickets please insert all of them with sequence number
After this activity at SPRO and Customizing, create a Transport Request to send to your Productive environment. Log off all Users and check ITSM Tickets again and you will see that Time Units are OK.
Initially, this customizing of Time Units at Focus Build was only performed for Focus Solution, but now with new configuration and integration between ITSM Tickets and SImple IT Request, it’s necessary to do this configuration of Time Units in both places of SPRO.
First in IT Service Management > Time Recording
Second in Focus Build > Work package Configuration > Define Selectable Time Units for Resource Planning.
