SAP Analytics Cloud Customer Influence Q1 2021

Many of you have already been in touch with us regarding product innovations for SAP Analytics Cloud and we have been listening. In this blog we take you through the innovations delivered in Q1 2021 asked by our customers.

 

Story Explorer Enhancements

A popular topic within SAP Analytics Cloud is Story Explorations and we have received a number of requests relating to it including:

Explorer view – Default view should be in table format

Simplify process to save explorer views

Standalone explorer

These Story Explorer features and many others were included in Q1 2021, further details of which can be found in our Roadmap Explorer Item or in the associated blog post

Select Dimensions for the Smart Insight

As our users grow more and more comfortable with Augmented Analytic features within SAP Analytics Cloud, we have been getting requests to give them more control of their analysis. One such request which was delivered this quarter is been the ability to select the dimensions to be used within Smart Insights to guide their analysis. For example restricting dimensions and also excluding duplicates, explained in here in this blog: Bring your Business Preferences in Smart Insights

Feature updates for Android applications on mobile devices

There have been a number of enhancements this quarter for Mobile Analytics using Android devices, one of which came directly from our Customer Influence portal: BW Live Connection to have Prompts on Mobile (Android)

Import from Microsoft SharePoint

Driving home the importance of participating in the Customer Influence portal we bring you a feature which received a whopping 79 votes. The ability to have SharePoint as DataSource for SAP Analytics Cloud is clearly important to our customers and as of Q1 2021 is now available.#

Advanced Formulas in Planning

Advanced Formulas is very important topic with in SAP Analytics Cloud Planning. It is an area where you will frequently see new additions and features within our Roadmap Explorer.

In particular the support for “else” within “if/elseif” conditional logic within advanced formulas was a popular request from our customers and is now available.

Monitoring – SAP Analytics Cloud Performance Analysis Tool

Our Customers have had the ability to see which stories and analytical applications are being used by their users, but we also got a request to take this further. Detailed usage and performance tracing/logging is also an important topic you have been voting which you can now do in a centralised tool. Customer Influence Portal

Finally you can get the full list of all requests for SAP Analytics Cloud in the Customer Influence Portal. Here you can have your say by adding your own ideas and requests for new features in SAP Analytics Cloud.

We also have over 1800+ requests that are currently Open for Voting so get in and cast your votes. If there is an area that is of particular interest to you for example Mobile Analytics you can narrow your search to just these requests using the filter bar.
