Taronga Conservation Society Australia partnered with SAP to uplift its core business systems to cloud for key functions including finance, procurement, payroll and human resources. The objective was to unify common staff functions and content onto a simple, intuitive mobile and desktop application to maintain employee productivity and engagement. They kept their key functions in Finance, Procurement, HR respectively in S/4HANA, SuccessFactors systems and built a feature-rich responsive application as single point of entry for their core business operations – thus simplifying the access of their core functions and content for their staff who can now focus more on animal care and visitors.
The mobile application is currently used by 33% of their employees and have 87% improved the guest satisfaction with proactive helpfulness of their staff. It is the winner under honorable mentions of SAP Innovation Awards for 2020 and was featured in SAP TechEd 2020 where they shared their innovative solution which is now helping the zookeepers to spend more time with animals and working on more conservation programs than daily operational activities.

Toyota Motor Corporation Australia Ltd. (TMCA) is a manufacturer of cars, trucks, SUVs, hybrids, and vans. It started in 1963, and has helped cement our position as Australia’s leading automotive company. As a subsidiary of Japan’s Toyota Motor Corporation, we market Toyota vehicles, including Lexus and manage business operations for Toyota in Australia.
The challenge was to integrate several complex, disparate processes across the SAP ERP application and third-party IT systems to develop a solution that provides an intuitive, real-time dashboard for employees, automate complex decisions while creating a defining a loyalty program experience for their customers.

Requesting workflow roles, as well as release limits for the invoice verification and purchase requisition workflow, is a very complex topic with lots of legal and compliance rules. In the past, the excel-spreadsheet had to be filled out first. The request then was sent via email to line management for signature. After execution, the request has to be closed and download a PDF and TXT file was needed. This has led to many problems.
