Introduction
ERP Logic’s Integration Adapter is a bridge between Product lifecycle management (PLM) software and SAP Business ByDesign, which integrates Product Hierarchies (Product and Product Design), BOMs, Suppliers, Supplier Items and ECOs from PLM software with SAP Business ByDesign.
Requirement
Customers need to transfer the Product, Product Design and BOM data from their PLM software to SAP Business ByDesign to make the Business ByDesign system up to date without any error.
Solution
To overcome this ERP Logic has developed a middleware to integrate PLM software and SAP Business ByDesign.
Design / Process Flow
The Integration middleware fetches the data from PLM software in XML format when there is a change in related data like Product, Product Design, Bill of Material and syncs it with SAP Business ByDesign using PDX mapping and web services.
Integration has two synchronization modules as below.
Product Synchronization Module is used to sync product master data from PLM software to SAP ByDesign. Adapter parses the XMLs and webservices is used to push data into SAP Business ByDesign.
Adapter first query all the products from the list of products created through reading XML files. If product is already present in SAP Business ByDesign, it is updated, else it is created in SAP Business ByDesign.
Product Design Synchronization Module is used to sync product design master data from PLM software to SAP Business ByDesign. Adapter parses the XMLs downloaded and webservices is used to push data into SAP Business ByDesign.
Adapter first query all the product designs from the list of products created through reading XML files. If product design with same version is not present in SAP Business ByDesign, it is created in SAP Business ByDesign and if already present, nothing is done to it.
E-mail notifications is triggered if any changes or errors occurs in the Integration.
