Blogosphere is on fire with SAP Activate
Hey everyone. Wishing health and happiness as always at the start of my blogs. Happiness is a mind set. Ok, let’s get after it… This might be the easiest blog that I have written in years. Topic: SAP Activate methodology. What about it? It is Innovation-as-a-Service concept that is constantly evolving through direct customer and partner feedback and our process of being in lock step in the end-to-end content sprint lifecycle process with our SAP S/4HANA Cloud product teams.
We have received a lot of feedback from customers and partners alike about ‘all things’ SAP S/4HANA Cloud and ‘all things’ SAP Activate cloud deployment methodology. So we decided to blog about it. I am going to highlight some of the past two weeks of blog posts from the SAP Activate methodology team. They are made up of great summaries of some of our most asked about terms and topic scenarios in SAP deployment projects.
Here are just a few that have made my blog post here highlight list:
Change is the only constant… by yours truly, Bob Byrne
Two of the biggest topics on our mind today is “Rise with SAP” and “SAP Activate“. If you are a consultant or Project Manager of software implementations, you for sure have heard of SAP Activate. SAP Activate is SAP’s implementation methodology that has evolved from our previous methodology name, SAP Launch. Read how we here at SAP think what our customers really need is Business Transformation-as-a-Service. Together with our ecosystem of customers and partners, we are bundling everything companies need to holistically transform their business with a faster time to value — at their own speed and terms, regardless of their starting point. It simplifies our customers’ journey in three simple steps. Check it out.
Read how Dan discusses RISE with SAP and how it allows our customers to embark on the journey to the Intelligent Enterprise using a bundle of products, tools and services. The offering is detailed in the article by Christian Klein, Introducing RISE with SAP – Business Transformation as a Service. Understand how SAP Activate can guide your RISE with SAP implementation by providing the customer the right content and tools at the time when they are needed during the project. SAP Activate provides the overall end-to-end structure that allows your RISE with SAP implementation to continue flowing smoothly. Check it out.
Go a step further and listen to the Chief Product Owner of SAP Activate, Jan Musil and his blog post
RISE with SAP: Get your projects started right with SAP Activate and Ready-to-Run Business Process Content Read how Jan brings it all together with SAP Activate, all deployed on infrastructure as a service of the customer choice. Jan’s focus is on what content, methodology and tools our customers, that subscribe to Rise with SAP, can use to gain unparalleled speed and guidance in their deployment projects. Check it out.

Now for the Intelligent Bots and RPA (Robotics Process Automation) I started to get dizzy, but than I read the new blog post by Jitendra Bhandari called Implement Intelligent SAP BOTS and RPA in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Projects using the SAP Activate Methodology
Jit’s blog post will illustrate to you how to find the business processes containing the various ready-to-use Process Automation bots and how to use the SAP Activate Methodology to guide you and your project team. The customers can start their transformation journey using SAP S/4HANA With Process Discovery and can request their own Process Discovery as shown in Figure 1 below:
Fit-to-standard? Huh, what? Ya lost me? Cloud software… I know,,, I know… But what does it mean to me the Project Manager? This new blog post by Lauren Bettuzzi Fit-to-Standard: How Does It Support the Big Picture? Read how Lauren breaks down one of the most mission critical parts of the SAP Activate deployment methodology. Nice work Lauren from Chicagooooo. 🙂
And how about one of our most viewed and read blogs in 2021 SAP Activate Methodology for RISE with SAP SAP S/4HANA Cloud, private edition by Adnette Kamugisha Read the full blog post where Adi lays out the private cloud edition roadmap. This brand-new implementation roadmap covers two implementation scenarios: System Conversion and New Implementation. We will later continue to enhance the roadmap by adding additional content to support all transition scenarios within RISE with SAP.
And last, but definitely not least, our in-house IronWoman, Kelsey Lapczynski dicusses our most important asset our SAP Activate – Customer Feedback in her new blog post published today, March 10, 2021. Kelsey does a great job of summarizing the many parts of SAP Activate and how you can get up to speed fast for your next SAP S/4HANA Cloud project.
This has been a lot of fun. I hope you read all of my colleague’s new blog posts and gain some value in what we are blogging about this month.
