SAP HANA Workload Management

SAP HANA is a real-time, in-memory data management platform that addresses all data processing scenarios of any customer application.

This leads to the typical operating environment where many concurrent users running different applications produce a heterogeneous set of workloads in the SAP HANA database.
These various workloads have different resource demands to the system and compete for shared resources in the SAP HANA database. SAP HANA provides various workload management options for controlling resource consumption.

The document gives detailed information about that options based on HANA 2.0 SPS05: https://help.sap.com/hana_wlm_sps05/Introduction_WLM_SPS05.pdf

As a former HANA Dev employee from the Dublin-CA team, I would love to read up on the great work done in this area since we all left... but alas, it must only be available to people with active support contracts...   ) -;  Not sure why.

      Hi Peter,

hope you are doing good and are save and healthy!

I fully understand your complaints but cannot decide on access rights.

But I‘m pretty sure that there must be someone in AWS who’s got access 😊

      Kind regards

      Joerg

Thanks Joerg...  I am well, hope the same to you and yours.  I understand the internal challenges of access rights but always thought Norman May and the HANA team did excellent work in this area.  I'm sure the work in HANA 2.0 SPS05 is no different.

      Take care and stay safe
