You may have found that downloading a result list in Plant Maintenance requires you to confirm a lot of pop-up dialogues.
We are changing how the export to spreadsheet functionality works in Plant Maintenance, and we are starting with functional location, equipment, notification, and order list transactions. Afterwards, we’ll continue with maintenance plan, maintenance item, task list, measuring point and measuring document list transactions. You will be presented with a single pop-up for choosing the format of the file (for which you can also set a default option for maximum comfort), and its storage location afterwards. No further tedious pop-ups, no need to worry anymore about accidentally closing a pop-up and closing the spreadsheet file along with it!

Popup Changes for Exporting to Spreadsheet

The new functionality is available with SAP Note 3020665 (version 3 or later) or with the upcoming support packages of Enhancement Package 8 for SAP ERP 6.0 and SAP S/4HANA 1909, 2020, and 2021. You can enable the new functionality by implementing either the SAP Note or installing the corresponding support packages, and switching on the business function Enterprise Asset Management Part 16 for the classical user interface.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on the new functionality, so please comment if you have any questions!
