  • Data management in cloud studio help manage data variables in data section of the tools panel.
  1. Monitoring – Intelligent RPA Bots can be monitored on Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (CALM).
  2. Customer can manage all bots from a single management console. SAP Intelligent RPA bots running in different versions (1.0 /2.0) can be controlled from the same cloud factory. It is possible to run all bots with the same runtime. The Desktop Agent can work with both versions.

You can expose environment variables information in environment overview page

  • Cloud variables
  • Desktop variables

In addition, Job variable can be created for scheduled triggers notifiers.  You can now add notifiers to scheduled triggers in addition to API trigger. When editing your email notifiers for these triggers, you can use the job variables such as job.status / job.triggerUid / finally job.uid.

  1. Digital Automation for Finance : Process Information Collection Forms for Dispute Cases (5JL)

Let’s take deeper look at the first business driven innovation for professional services using SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation content with SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Organizational Flexibility for Professional Services Provider (5HD)

The solution provides increased efficiency and simplifies the with efficient way to perform the organizational changes with significant reduction in the repetitive process involving lots of manual efforts.

The ‘Manage Organizational Changes’ app can be used to assist users through the profit center reorganization process along with SAP Intelligent RPA Bot that include a mechanism to automatically identify the WBS elements assigned to the discontinued profit center.

This bot allows the Division Accountant to automatically identify and populate the Manage Organizational Changes app with the WBS elements assigned to the old profit center.

Custom Communication Scenario need to be set up in S/4HANA system based on CDS Views for engagement project, customer project sales order item and WBS element by external ID.

Let’s take deeper look at the second business driven innovation for accounts payable processes using SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation content with SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Automated Release of Blocked Supplier Invoices (5BG)

With the latest release, we deliver more advanced automation features, allowing Accounts Payable accountant  to reduce manual effort with repeated system operation.

Accounts Payable accountant have supplier Invoices that gets blocked with the blocking reason “Item Amount”. Automation bot perform actions to remove this block in direct procurement scenario where Goods Receipt (GR) is usually performed, this supplier invoice block with “Item Amount” is redundant.

For indirect procurement where Goods Receipt (GR) is not usually performed, it is relevant to have the supplier invoice block with “Item Amount”, so that the requisitioner can approve the supplier invoice (confirming that Goods have been received) and have the payment block removed.

SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation bot can remove the blocks with Item Amount on supplier invoices. The bot is based on the Web GUI app Release Blocked Invoices where it can apply specific filters like company code, fiscal year etc and then cancels the blocking reason for all the filtered data set. Digital bots automate the process of releasing blocks on Item Amount for multiple supplier invoices.

Let’s take deeper look at the third business driven innovation for Finance Dispute Management.

Process Information Collection Forms for Dispute Cases (5JL)

Intelligent bots can take smarter decisions, cut across organizational barriers by driving optimal process modelling for maximum efficiency in managing customer disputes.

SAP Intelligent RPA automate the exchange of information between the accounts receivable accountant and the customer for newly created dispute cases.  Digital bot would auto-generate email correspondence to the customer and then upload the customer feedback to the S/4HANA system.

Bot can search for new dispute cases with a specific reason in the SAP S/4HANA system, to send information collection form to the corresponding customer via email to ask for the reason and comments regarding the dispute case. The bot can also search users inbox for the responses to the emails with filled information collection forms. It will update the corresponding dispute cases in SAP S/4HANA with the extracted information.

Communication scenario has to be set up in S/4HANA system for Finance – Accounting Analytics Integration (SAP_COM_0303).
