PM/CS: Side Panels in GUI for Windows

Side panels (CHIPs) allow supplementary context-sensitive information relating to the object and are currently available in the web-dynpro and NWBC applications only.

Unfortunately these side panels are not available in the standard GUI for Windows.

However, simple developments/enhancements allow us to create side panels in the traditional GUI for Windows environment. An example is shown for Plant Maintenance work orders.

You can get more info about side panels at this link.

Can you say something about how you create these side panels?

      Hi Steve,

These side panels require development in the backend SAP system and as such  will require the usual discussion with the business to determine what is required (i.e. the usual Functional Specification documentation process).

You can see the YouTube video link for more details regarding these sidepanels and how to contact me.
