Ideas for Stammtisch

This topic was moved to >> https://answers.sap.com/articles/13293270/ideas-for-stammtisch.html

Hi community!

Due pandemic situation many groups has started some virtual SAP Stammtisch events.

For example, in Barcelona we have started a virtual community with David Ruiz Badia and Lluis Salvador Suarez using discord. Thanks to being a virtual event we also have people from Mexico, Argentina, etc…

This community does one event per month where the members do presentations, quiz or follow-up related with SAP.

Normally this is and agenda:

  • Welcome and latest news from the SAP community with the SAP Champions David Ruiz Badia

  • Presentations about SAP products, use cases or technology (10/15 minutes per presentation)
  • Other sporadic topics about SAP

We are also thinking of recording part of these sessions to publish on YouTube.

You can see more information at https://www.sitbarcelona.com/ thanks to the website created by Lluis Salvador Suarez

Between events we also have an active community with some text channels on Discord where the members (actually more than 100) can ask questions or add interesting links.

With this post I would like to collect ideas from other Stammtisch to improve all Stammtisch communities.

For example, Communication technologies such as Skype / Zoom …, ideas for virtual events like quizzes, or collaborations.

All contributions will be very useful!

Thanks in advance!

  • Good one Enric Castella Gonzalez and nice ideas(Quiz..,), We will also try to do quiz in one of our future events 🙂

We were doing monthly stammtisch events in UAE with the name SAP Yalsah for more than a year. We usually start like yours

    1. Welcome by one of the organizers
    2. Community Sessions(45 - 1 hour) like a Mini Inside track 🙂
    3. General community discussions

We also tried panel discussion( 3 people & 1 moderator) with some community members who are good at that particular topic, maybe we will try this more often in the future.

and If the speaker who gives a session receives a speaker badge at the stammtisch event, that would boost the spirit of fellow speakers and encourage more people to give more sessions IMO and would definitely make stammtisch a better experience.

I've already shared this idea with Svea Becker, hope this will be implemented soon 😉

BTW, India stammtisch( Gaurav Karkara Nabheet Madan  Sriprasad Shivaram Bhat  ) also follows a similar pattern of sessions and I am sure these folks have some cools ideas to share with us as well 😉 and also would agree to the presenter badges at stammtisch.

And BTW, you should share these videos on youtube, I am pretty sure it will reach to many people on the internet, we are already doing it.

    Regards,

    Mahesh
