The successful delivery of last year's Customer Connection Project SAP for Utilities On Premise 2020 is just a few weeks ago. In this project SAP development has implemented many requirements based on your suggestions and delivered a lot of very useful new functionalities - e.g. an innovative mass activity for Billing Simulation for Multiple Rates, adjustments to meter reading functionality or enhancements to AMI-Webservices. If you would like to learn more about all improvements delivered with the 2020 project, have a look at the slides of the delivery call or watch a replay of it under this blog post.

And now everything is prepared for the 2021 Customer Connection Project for the Utilities industry: The new page for project SAP for Utilities On Premise 2021 is set up and the kick off meetings happened on 17th February. If you would like to review the slides or the recordings please follow the link to this blog. Customers and partners worldwide are asked to submit their ideas as Improvement Requests and to vote for Improvement Requests of their peers in the timeframe from 17th February 2021 until 30th April 2021.

We are pleased to announce that the focus of this project has been slightly increased compared to last year's: All standard functions and processes in SAP for Utilities as part of SAP ERP (IS-U), SAP CRM and SAP Multichannel Foundation for Utilities are still in focus; in addition, we'll also consider requests for the Utilities industry-specific part of SAP S/4HANA On Premise. Please keep in mind that each Improvement Request needs at least 5 votes from different customers to be considered, so don't hesitate to submit your ideas as early as possible to increase your chances.

We are very much looking forward to the continued collaboration within this project. It's up to you now to send us your ideas how we can improve SAP's solution for the Utilities industry. In case of questions we will be more than happy to answer them.
