Authorizations. Granting the appropriate authorizations according to role and position is essential for enabling the users to perform their tasks successfully. If you work with user groups, you know how convenient it is to assign users to the relevant groups and grant the authorizations on a group level. This makes the authorization assignment and maintenance very efficient. Since authorizations considered as sensitive area in many businesses, it is important to be able to track changes, especially when it comes to user groups, where any change affects multiple users. For that purpose SAP Business One extended the Change Log functionality to support user groups as well:
To review the change log for user group authorizations, mark the required user group and choose the option "Change Log…" from the Tools menu. Similar to other functions, the Change Log window lists the changes made, and by choosing the "Show Differences" button you can see the detailed changes related to the given instance.
