SAP S/4HANA Upgrade and Product Integration Roadmap – new Release
We have published a new version of the roadmap “SAP Activate Methodology for SAP S/4HANA Upgrade and Product Integration“.
What’s New
For each of the embedded products described in the roadmap, an “Architecture Point of View” service is available which gives a good introduction into the transformation routes from the legacy solution to the S/4HANA embedded product, being a starting point for enterprise or technical solution architecture discussions. The Architecture Point of View service is now part of the SAP Value Assurance service offering.
For all described transitions to embedded products a focus package has been defined which shows the recommended services and additional services which may be helpful depending on the customer situation. (The focus package covers PE services, but most of them are available under SAP Value Assurance, too.) This service overview is included in the task “Create an Innovation Strategy and a high-level Roadmap” for each embedded product in the Strategic Planning activity.
Example focus package:
In the Prepare phase, we now have a “Selective Data Transition Planning Workshop“ as an alternative to “Transition for New Implementation” and “Migration Planning and Upgrade Workshop”. The “Selective Data Transition Planning Workshop” supports transitions to embedded products if data migration is required.
Updates
As always, the roadmap content has been updated and does now include the latest version of all accelerators.
The Roadmap Viewer tool itself comes with some new features which make collaboration easier – you can for example send direct links to single activities or tasks via email or social media.
Another very good feature is the “Where used” function in the accelerator list which points you to all places in the roadmap where this accelerator is mentioned.
Don’t miss the download option which provides the newest project plan templates 21Q1, the roadmap picture ppt and the roadmap text in pdf format.
As always, your feedback is highly welcome!
