SAP strategy: how they will support EHS demands in future?

Dear all

First: please take a look here:

https://blogs.sap.com/2020/11/04/highlights-for-product-compliance-in-sap-s-4hana-2020-part-1-product-marketability-and-chemical-compliance/

https://blogs.sap.com/2020/11/18/highlights-for-product-compliance-in-sap-s-4hana-2020-part-2-dangerous-goods-management/

https://blogs.sap.com/2020/11/24/highlights-for-product-compliance-in-sap-s-4hana-2020-part-3-safety-data-sheet-management/

and then you will know the current status of “Product Compliance” module in S/4 HANA.

Second:

Terms are changing with S/4 HANA.

If you use the term “EHS”: then think about e.g.

  • Emissions
  • SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure)
  • etc.

Still EHS-OH is available (or a follower of this soluton; please read SAP marketplace and check the rare threads here) (e.g. check https://answers.sap.com/questions/12735675/sus330—sap-ehs-management—occupational-health-.html?childToView=12866148#comment-12866148).

For EHS-WA (Waste): please wait until SAP is “ready” to deliver (e.g. check this thread: https://answers.sap.com/questions/13204030/waste-management-alternative-in-s4hana.html)

If you would like to discuss SDS (Safety Data Sheet), DG (Dangerous goods), content etc.: please use the Term “Product compliance”

Please check the “SAP online help” to get some input: what is part of S/4 HANA On Premise Release (https://help.sap.com/viewer/e296651f454c4284ade361292c633d69/1709%20000/en-US/55da37e5bfeb425ebdae7c51a4119c8d.html).

Make sure that you understand the new concepts which are used in the new software.

Make sure that you understand: SAP Fiori will be the “user interface” of the new solution.

And it will take some time until the new solution is “ready” to be used.

With the best wishes

C.B.
