Our SAP Customer Checkout Contribution at the Virtual #SAPSportsEntForum 2020 – Recap, Recordings, and Q&A
New year, new challenges, new format – our this years’ 10th edition of the SAP Sports and Entertainment Forum was moved to the digital world.
On December 07-10, we invited our customers, partners, and prospects to join our virtual sessions and connect with decision-makers and experts from the industry.
One week full of content and insights throughout our whole SAP Sports and Entertainment product portfolio for SAP Customer Checkout, SAP Sports One, and SAP Event Ticketing.
But let me shortly summarize and recap all the highlights of SAP Customer Checkout.
Day 1 (December 07, 2020):
- Digitize your Merchandise and Catering Business with the Intelligent POS System SAP Customer Checkout
Our product manager, Harald Tebbe, gave an overview about the features, including a demo, highlights and benefits. Some short videos of upcoming innovations rounded off the session.

Day 2 (December 08, 2020):
- The Ultimate Fan Experience
Our experts from the S&E Strategic Engagements team, Oliver Merten and Michael Graf, went through the ultimate fan experience and showed how clubs and venues can keep fans engaged at every touch point starting from ticket purchase, gameday activities, as well as merchandising and after-sales.

Q&A
During the sessions, we had also several questions, which we all collected and answered for you.
Please find below the questions with links to the answers:
- Is integration in S/4 HANA in the future planned without retail license?
- Are discount vouchers planned? (DE: Sind Rabattgutscheine geplant?)
- Is it planned to offer possibilities to build plugins for CCO manager?
- Can I integrate also other 3rd party ticketing systems to CCO (other than SAP Event Ticketing)?
- Is this and the other PPTs available to be downloaded?
- Are there any plans for an Android/ iOS App? (DE: Gibt es Pläne für eine Android/ iOS App?)
- Is a self-checkout function planned? As this is already implemented e.g. in IKEA or Hornbach?
- Will it be possible in FP11 to adjust article lists – more columns (in SALES screen)?
- Did I understand it correctly, that FP11 will be available on January 2021?
- In Retail area there are expenses, which means one customer takes 5 trousers for fitting and returns 2 trousers.
- Do you recommend customers to move to the new UI long-term?
- Does the S/4HANA integration work with S4/HANA on premise only, or also with S/4HANA Cloud?
- On day-end closing it is expected to see a count of the articles being discounted rather than the total number of receipts which have a discounted article. Will there be any update to adjust the day-end closing?
- Regarding central configuration, the exchange rates so far cannot be configured centrally, but is on of the pieces of information changing regularly. Any idea if central exchange rate definition is planned and if so, for what FP? (I know, no commitment can be made)
- Yesterday we saw the “FC Jupiter Fan App” demo. Is the source code of this app available as a basis for building our own fan apps for customers?
- Does the S/4HANA integration work with S/4HANA on premise only, or also with S/4HANA Cloud?
- What hardware device OS is required to run CCO hospitality on handheld device?
- Regarding localization: is it planned for Portugal long- or short-term?
- Any ETA for the central configuration of POS?
- Using the SAP Customer Checkout manager, could now connect the SAP CCO to SAP B1 and SAP Business ByDesign?
- Can the ET-Integration also be used if a SAP B1 or another ERP-System (not CCOmanager) is used as the central system for master data?
- Can the mobile devices be Android?
- Is this the ERP-Integration with ERP & Retail module or SAP Business One?
Impressions:
Shooting time in Walldorf! Our team was shooting some short videos to show the scenarios and highlights of the latest product version.
We’ve also set-up a small merchandise shop.
During the Q&A we also had a lot of fun.
Overall it was a great and successful forum – even though only virtually ?!
We’d like to thank all participants, customers, partners, and colleagues who joined and contributed.
Thank you!
Stay safe!
Best regards,
Elena Vavitsa
