What’s new in the SAP Ariba 2011 (Q4 2020) Release

As a follow-up to my blog post pre-announcing some great innovations delivered in the SAP Ariba  2011 (Q4 2020) product release, I thought sharing some additional highlights from our final release of 2020 would be beneficial. Read on to learn more!

The final release of 2020 for SAP Ariba (2011 release) delivers over 95 features spanning the entire portfolio of SAP Ariba products! As always, please review the complete list of features released on November 13 which may be found on SAP Ariba Connect and visit the What’s New Guide in the SAP Help Portal. The What’s New Guide consolidates prior Release Guide materials from 3 product areas in to a single, easy to navigate document. Guided sourcing new user experience for sourcing events*

Streamline the creation, monitoring and awarding of RFI and RFP sourcing events via guided sourcing. This complimentary solution to existing sourcing activities improves overall usability, simplifies the event creation and management processes and leads to increased adoption of sourcing within companies. Reduce the time associated with sourcing event activities by adopting the guided sourcing simplified user experience.  Guided sourcing also includes integration with SAP Enable Now Web assistant which drives improved user experiences with context-based support.  Learn more about guided sourcing through the recorded demonstration and additional product information provided online.

*With the 2011 release this innovation is available for customers hosted in the US and EU data centers only. Other data centers will be brought online in H1 2021.

Mobile procurement application version 2.0

Expand your procurement work environment to include on-the-go activities that may be executed through the completely redesigned procurement mobile application. Upgrade from the previous version to enjoy the simplicity of the Fiori designed interface and manage tasks and notifications associated with your sourcing and buying initiatives. Get a feel for how this highly intuitive mobile experience can expand your procurement activities through a recorded demonstration and learn more about key aspects of the application.

Initiate procurement workspace projects from within guided buying

Consolidate procurement initiatives into manageable projects through the ability to initiate procurement workspace projects directly from within guided buying. Supplier invite API

Improve the efficiency and accuracy of creating vendor records and inviting suppliers to collaborate via Ariba Network by utilizing the supplier invite API. The API introduces a third method to establish and manage trade relationships beyond the existing user interface and CSV-based interactions. Build applications that expand your supplier community and simplify the supplier on-boarding process by utilizing the supplier invite API.
