SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0 – Today is THE day: Join the future of automation!
Dear SAP community members,
Today is a very special day! It’s an absolute pleasure for me to be writing this SAP Community blog post. The reasoning is two folded. First, it´s my very first SAP blog post which I am sharing at all as part of my new role. And second, the tremendous opportunity for our customers as part of task and process automation for citizen developers which we release today.
On October 1st I joined an amazing team of RPA enthusiasts as Head of SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation Solution Management. Since then, this new topic has fully captured my attention as I am truly excited about how we can help our customers with their digital transformation with agility while becoming more resilient.

It has been talked a lot about how traditional Business Process Management and task automation is evolving into Hyperautomation, a term developed by Gartner. If you haven’t had a chance yet, I suggest you read “Unveiling SAP Intelligent RPA 2.0: Hyperautomation for everyone” by Sebastian Schrötel – Head of SAP Intelligent RPA – to capture what it means and the how large the opportunity for your company can be.

For SAP, Digital Process Automation is as an integral part of our strategy in enabling the transformation to the Intelligent Enterprise. With customers first in mind, we invested into the next version of SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation to help them reap the benefits of such technologies now being available in a full Low-Code/No-Code experience. This way, we empower business users to create task automations without any coding skills or IT involvement. This provides task and process automation capabilities to new citizen developers, who jointly with their technical colleagues, can create automation scenarios and streamline business outcomes.

Title: SAP Intelligent RPA – Cloud Studio
The feedback from our BETA customers has been overwhelming and confirmed our desired outcome – Simplicity and Citizen Automation without any coding skills.
Balbir Singh Dhillon, Associate Director Intelligent Solutions, Zuellig Pharma shared:
“Great job on the Beta version, today we saw and experienced many steps that have become much easier during the robot creation process. Just the emails alone save a lot of time and places that functionality in the hands of the Citizen user and no longer dependent on experienced developers.
The look and feel, and the user experience were really great and I can only see the product getting richer with additional features like the recorder.”
Daniel Neuhäuser, Head of ERP Core Solutions, Villeroy & Boch shared:
“Intuitive user experience with the new Cloud Studio, great to see features like automated data type generation in Excel and find all the functions from the Desktop Studio now as activities for easy use with drag & drop.”
