During the SAP Customer Experience LIVE Virtual Conference the SAP CEO, Cristian Klein, made an important announcement about the Customer Experience portfolio. The new SAP Customer Data Platform will enable organizations to create individual and anonymized 360-degree customer profiles using data from multiple sources within and outside of a company, including online sources and social channels.
Customer experience has become an important differentiator for brands, COVID-19 crisis has challenged companies to accelerate their business transformation and forced them to radically transform the experience for their customers.
In this environment many corporations are looking to customer data platforms to help deliver personalized experiences to improve customer loyalty.
The main idea of the new platform is to maximize the power of the Customer Experience solutions by adding context to commerce, sales, and service experiences, as well as providing a more effective tool for marketing. It aims to enable organizations to redefine the customer experience in every interaction and in all areas – from commerce and marketing to sales and service.
It is important to clarify that SAP Customer Data Platform is built on the foundation of SAP Customer Data Cloud. SAP Customer Identity and Access Management and SAP Enterprise Consent and Preference Management are then woven in for a secure and compliant digital profile.
